Alligators Asking For Handouts

^C1's Chamber of Commerce was swamped last Tuesday with calls from people questioning the legitimacy of the Alms for Alligators organization. Dozens of costumed young people went door to door in ^C1 asking for canned goods to feed the dying alligators of Perth Amboy, NJ.

Most citizens found cause for suspicion in the young environmentalist petitioners, but a few, like Myrna Sharptooth, supported their efforts. " I’m from Jersey too, " whispered Sharptooth proudly, "and I hope those poor gators enjoy a good meal of corned beef hash and cocktail weiners."
