^C1 Growth Flummoxes City Leaders

The city of ^C1 is expanding so quickly that city services are lagging behind, said Raggs T. Riches, the Operations Adjutant to Commissioner ^P1's office. In one unusual example, gardeners were shocked to see shredded strips of old tax forms come out of the hoses supposed to provide water for the new Convention Center complex landscaping.

"Just a temporary mixup," an unidentifed spokesman for the mayor's office said. "We did surprise the recycling center, though, with the water delivery," he added. An informal survey of local businesspeople said most of the growing pangs were worth it, though they were having trouble adjusting to lying down in the temporarily lateral elevators.
