Smelly Citizen Wins In Court

^C1 resident Jimmie Lamdo won a victory in ^C1 Municipal Court, and will not be forced to take a shower after all. "It’s just being a good citizen, that’s all," said the rank (some say downright putrid) bicycle messenger. "With the water shortage, we all have to do what we can." Mr. Lamdo, who has not taken a shower in nearly eight months, was the defendant in a class-action suit brought against him by a coalition of ^C1 business, civic and neighborhood organizations.

"The man can wilt kudzu," said Wilford Obsequious, attorney for the coalition. "We even offered to pay him." Mr. Lamdo insists that until the ^C1 water situation improves, it’s not only his right, but his civic duty to sacrifice a little comfort.
