Rat To Be Transferred

To the children who visited ^C1's Heffelstein Science Center, Muffy was more than a laboratory rat. He was a pet. "We'll miss Muffy," said nine-year-old Suzie Jameson, a frequent science center visitor. Muffy is the latest casuality in the ^C1 school crisis. In an effort to make due with less, the ^C1 city budget process cut Muffy's food pellet allocation. The Heffelstein Foundation was forced to find a new home for the white rodent. "We sent him to Europe, where they know how to treat rats properly," said Heffelstein Foundation Chief Cook and Bottle Washer, Fifi LeDeux. One thing is certain, If ^C1 had more schools, Muffy would still be in ^C1."
