The large earthquake that rattled the windows and the hearts of ^C1 residents had an unexpected outcome: the rift behind the old pygmy peach tree plantation opened to reveal a perfectly intact specimen of a 1914 Boopsiemobile, one of the era's most unusual cars.
<p>
"Even though I lost my toupee down the hole, finding that Boopsiemobile sure makes up for it," said Randoogle Knotwhy, owner of the old plantation. "Why, the key was in the ignition, and I just turned it over and it started right up. If that don't beat all!" he said. Knotwhy is considering trading the Boopsie for a two years' subscription to Popular Motorsports.
