Pets Need Water

The current heat wave has been hard enough on ^C1 residents, but pets suffer too. Lois Ranning of the ^C1 Humane Society is sending volunteers to several neighborhoods to set out water dishes for local dogs and cats. "And birds too, if they come," she added. This is the fourth year of the project. Residents enjoy the visits. "Fluffy and Fido really like to see us on days like this," she said.
